Kevin Sobels Wines was started after Kevin and Margaret sold their winery along McDonalds Road in Pokolbin in 1991. The company is one of the few in the Hunter Valley that actually make and age every wine under their label from grapes that they grow or purchased from other growers in the Hunter Valley and is one of only 8 wineries that have a bottling line.
Whilst the winery is known for its wine it is also known as “the winery with the big St Bernard dog Archie” and the winery that hosts “Handmade in the Hunter” markets twice a month.
If the door is open or the lights are on, you and your friends are welcome to come in and taste our wines, in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The BBQ and picnic facilities are free to use, and if time permits, people can have a quick look and have a discussion about the processing procedures etc.
